KANSAS CITY, Mo.— For the first time since Nov. 9, 2023, the Montreat College women's wrestling team is receiving votes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20. With a pair of wrestlers ranked individually, the Cavaliers accumulated 18 points in the voting process, tied for 27
th-most overall.
The Cavs were level on voting points with Midland (Neb.). Montreat also sat one point behind Lourdes (Ohio) and two points ahead of Friends (Kan.).
Newcomer
Dinayah Vazquez is already making her mark on the Cavaliers' women's wrestling program. Before competing once in a Montreat singlet, the Emmanuel University transfer opened the year at No. 7 in the 110-lb weight class. Vazquez accrued 46 points to achieve her spot. Both her individual ranking and points garnered are program records.
Sophomore
Morgan Repasky kicked off the preseason with her first collegiate ranking. After going 19-14 and qualifying for the NAIA Women's Wrestling Championships last season, the Marion, N.C. native landed at No. 19 in the 103-lb weight class. Repasky picked up nine points in the preseason rankings.

Vazquez, Repasky and the Montreat College women's wrestling team begin their 2025-26 campaign on Sunday, Nov. 2 at the ESU Open in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
