WALESKA, Ga.— A total of nine Montreat College volleyball players found their way onto this year's Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) All-Academic Team, that according to a release from the league office Wednesday afternoon. One Cavalier also appeared on the AAC Champions of Character Team.
To qualify for the AAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must hold at least sophomore academic status while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Allie Anderson,
Sophie Duckworth,
Cizzie Griffin,
Genesis Hernandez,
Karly Horn,
Taylor Shaw,
Maggie Stewart and
Ruthann Stout met the necessary requirements to garner the annual recognition.
Horn represented the Cavs on the AAC Champions of Character Team as well. Each institution in the league received one spot on the Champions of Character Team, and the recipients were chosen by each program's head coach.
